The staff in Diamonds this year will be;

Diamonds 1- Miss Shaw & MrsDevivo

Diamonds 2- Mrs Clarke, Mrs Crisp & Mrs Shipman

Diamonds 3- Mrs Spackman & Mrs Thompson 



This term Diamonds will be having PE on a WEDNEDAY afternoon. Only the full time children will need PE Kit. Please can you ensure your child has long trousers or leggings for their kit and suitable outdoor footwear due to the weather conditions.


Assembly days

A whole school assembly will be held every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for the children. On a Thursdayafternoon 2:50pm Diamonds will be holding their own assembly in the hall just for the foundation children, where parents are welcome to attend.


Wow and Proud evidence

We would like to celebrate achievements that the children have at home within school. Please can you bring any ‘WOW or proud’ photographs, quotes, books or rewards that the children do at home to add to our proud display in Diamonds.


Autumn 1 topics

Over the next few weeks the topic will be ‘Doors’  during this term we will be having a book focus ever two weeks. The books are; Charlie and the Chocolate factory, Matilda, The Three Litte pigs, Goldilocks and the Three bears, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and Alice in Wonderland.

We will also be having a focus on doors in the community by looking at colours and numbers on each door. We will be taking a walk around our community during this term to look at a range of doors, Date to be confirmed. 


Medical information

Please can the parent/ career see the class teacher if your child has a medical condition, allergies, an inhaler or medicines that are to be administrated during school time. 


Creative material donations

As you may all know in Diamonds we have a lot of creative, bakery and sensory ingredients out during each day. Any kind donations towards the funding of our creative curriculum would be much appreciated by all in Diamonds. 


Pirate day

On Monday 21st September the whole school is having a Pirate day. If possible could each child dress up in a pirate costume. Throughout the day the children will be taking part in a range of activities related to pirates. Any pirate stories your child may have at home are welcomed to bring in to share with the class. 



The worksheets that are sent home with sounds on are to be completed at home in the child’s own time. These are not required back at school. Your child is learning the letter ‘sounds’.
